Assurances

Our updated season pass policies are designed to offer you flexibility and peace of mind in buying your 2020-2021 season pass.  We have added assurances if things change for you before the season, for in-season closures, and for travel restrictions or medical needs.

Information about 100% SKI3 Assurance:

We want you to feel comfortable with your pass purchase and understand things could change for you between now and the upcoming winter.  Know that for any reason, you may request a 100% SKI3 Assurance purchase credit for your 2020-2021 season pass through December 1, 2020.   We’ll transfer the full amount of your pass purchase onto a Snow Guarantee Card valid toward season pass, lift ticket, and/or lesson purchases through Closing Day, Spring 2022!  That means your credit is valid for the remainder of the upcoming winter as well as all of next season.

  • This program is available upon request for any reason through December 1, 2020
  • You’ll receive a 100% purchase credit for your 2020-2021 season pass on a Snow Guarantee Card
  • Your Assurance Credit is valid from date of issue through Closing Day, Spring 2022
  • Your Assurance Credit can be used to purchase season passes, lift tickets, and/or lessons
  • Your Assurance Credit can be used online or in person at Gore, Whiteface, or Belleayre Mountain
  • All 2020-2021 season passes are eligible for SKI3 Assurance, including single mountain or limited passes

Requests for SKI3 Assurance can be made by submitting our online form. All SKI3 Assurance credits will be issued after the December 1, 2020 deadline. This includes 2020-2021 season passes purchased with a payment plan, in which case the 100% purchase credit will be issued after the final payment is successfully made.

Information about Closure Credits:

We are looking forward to a long season ahead that is full of great snow days!  However, if Gore Mountain needs to fully close any day due to COVID-19 between December 1, 2020 and March 15, 2021, you will receive a proportional purchase credit based on the total number of days that both Gore Mountain was closed and your pass was valid.  This credit will be automatically issued to each passholder at the end of the season in the form of a Snow Guarantee Card valid through Closing Day, Spring 2022.

Individual Situations:

We understand that there may be specific individual circumstances due to an injury, medical reasons, or official government travel restrictions.  To best accommodate, we will handle these three topics on a case-by-case basis through our Guest Services Office (note that other needs are covered by the Assurance program above).  To initiate a request, please complete our Contact Us email form.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your plans for operations this winter?

We are planning on an exciting winter season at Gore, Whiteface, and Belleayre with many new improvements at our mountains.  These include renovated lodges, new ski lifts, trail enhancements, and investments in snowmaking.  We are planning on opening as soon as we can with as much terrain as possible.

What steps are you taking to ensure the safety of your guests?

We are following and will continue to follow all recommendations made by the State of New York and CDC guidelines.  We require all staff and guests to wear facial coverings indoors, and outdoors when necessary.  Guests are required to maintain social distance and follow state mandates for quarantines and travel.  For Gore Mountain’s current operational guidelines please visit https://www.goremountain.com/mountain/operational-updates.  For full New York State guidelines and information please visit https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/home.

Does my mountain-specific or limited season pass qualify for SKI3 Assurance?

Yes, all season passes qualify for SKI3 Assurance including Limited (non-holiday) and Gore Only Midweek season passes.

How do I get my SKI3 Assurance?

Requests for SKI3 Assurance can be made by submitting our online form.  All SKI3 Assurance credits will be issued after the December 1, 2020 deadline.

When should I expect to receive my credit for SKI3 Assurance?

All SKI3 Assurance credits will be issued after the December 1, 2020 deadline for requests.  This includes 2020-2021 season passes purchased with a payment plan, in which case the 100% purchase credit will be issued after the final payment is successfully made.

How can I use my SKI3 Assurance credit?

The credit can be used toward lift tickets, season passes, and/or lessons. The credit can be used all at once or for multiple purchases until the balance has expired.  These Assurance credits are valid from the date they are issued through Closing Day, Spring 2022.

If I ski on my pass before the December 1, 2020 Assurance deadline, am I still eligible?

Yes, you are still eligible for the SKI3 Assurance if you ski before December 1, 2020, and you will not lose any of your credit.

What if the mountain closes during the season due to COVID-19?

We plan to keep our lifts spinning and mountains open for business throughout the season.  However, if Gore Mountain must fully close for one or more days between December 1, 2020–March 15, 2021 due to COVID-19, all 2020-2021 season passholders that purchased from Gore Mountain will receive a proportional credit at the end of the season.  This Closure Credit will be based on the total number of days that both Gore Mountain was closed due to COVID-19 and your pass was valid, issued in the form of a Snow Guarantee Card valid through Closing Day, Spring 2022.

Details and Definitions:

  • “Home Mountain” – Mountain from which you purchased your 2020-2021 season pass.
  • Closure Credits will be based on Home Mountain closures only.
  • “Core Season” for Closure Credits is December 1, 2020 – March 15, 2021.
  • Mountain Closure – the mountain is fully closed due to COVID-19 – all lifts are closed for the entire day.
  • The number of days you ski will not impact your Closure Credit – we want you to ski as much as you can.
  • If you have a SKI3 pass and your Home Mountain closes, you are welcome to ski at the other two mountains when your pass is valid.
  • Closure Credits will be automatically issued to each passholder at the end of the season in the form of a Snow Guarantee Card valid through Closing Day, Spring 2022.

What if I am unable to visit the mountain due to published government travel restrictions?

We understand that there may be specific individual circumstances due to official government travel restrictions.  To best accommodate, we will handle these on a case-by-case basis through our Guest Services Office.  This credit will be based on the number of days lost due to travel restrictions when your pass was valid.  To initiate a request, please complete our Contact Us email form.

Will there be any capacity limitations or reservations needed for season passholders this winter?

At this time, we are not anticipating any limitations for skiing and riding at our resorts that would require a reservation.  We have plenty of outdoor space for our guests to spread out all around our mountains.  However, like so many things related to COVID, we just don’t know the exact details yet.  In buying a season pass, you have demonstrated a commitment to us, and we’re committed to making your time at our mountains as safe and enjoyable as possible.  Getting you on our lifts, having you enjoy the trails, and seeing you come back for more is our top priority.

Will there be season-long programs this winter?

We are working on these details and exploring creative ways to continue our season-long programs.  Currently, we are planning on keeping them moving forward.  In the interest of everyone’s health and safety, we will not be offering indoor child care services this season as we have in past at the Bear Cub Den.  Please stay tuned for information on snow sports programs for our youngest guests.

Are there any discounts for 2019-2020 season passholders when they renew this year?

We are sorry that there aren’t any specific discounts for the 2019-2020 season.  We held rates from last season and extended the early price deadline for season passes from April 22 through September 2, 2020.  We’ve done a tremendous amount of work at Gore Mountain this summer and fall to provide guests with many new amenities that they will enjoy for years to come.
