Overview

Join us for scenic skyrides in 2022!

Our 2021 summer/fall season came to a close on Sunday, October 10 and we’re gearing up for winter. See you soon on the snowy slopes!

Our scenic skyrides are a great way to spend a half-hour at Gore or the entire day. Enjoy stunning views of the High Peaks and Southern Adirondacks, and take the time to hike or picnic. Take along one of our scavenger hunt game cards or participate in a new hiking challenge. Excellent photo opportunities- have fun! Please note there is no food service at the top of either skyride, and restrooms are available at the top of the Chairlift Skyride only, in the Saddle Lodge.

Adult passengers carrying children in their arms, backpacks, or other carrying devices, may ride in gondola cabins but not on chairlifts. See our complete scenic skyride policy.

The last ride up is at 4pm. This schedule is subject to change based on weather and other variables, please check our activities report for the most current information.

21/22 season passes include free scenic skyrides during summer/fall 2021 – show your pass at the lift (Monday-Friday Limited passholders must redeem for Saturday/Sunday skyrides at the ticket windows). Check out year-round perks for passholders!

Interpretive Activities

Join us for adventure activities in 2022!

Our 2021 summer/fall season came to a close on Sunday, October 10 and we’re gearing up for winter. See you soon on the snowy slopes!

Free interpretive talks are offered at the top of the skyride at 11am and 1pm on Saturday and Sunday during the summer and fall – discuss local vegetation, the history of Gore Mountain, and facts about the surrounding views. These talks are free for all ticketed guests and season passholders.

Check out our independent interpretive hikes– the Hardwood Forest Loop is located in the Base Area and the Alpine Sky Loop is at the top of Bear Mountain near where the gondola skyride unloads.

Enjoy a relaxing stroll through our Mountaintop Labyrinth, located below the Fairview Observation Deck on the Alpine Sky Loop interpretive trail. Labyrinths are ancient patterns over 4,000 years old, and walking them has been known to help quiet the mind and offer relaxation, balance, and well-being.

Add even more fun to your adventures with our new hiking challenges!
