Our scenic skyrides are a great way to spend a half-hour at Gore or the entire day. Enjoy stunning views of the High Peaks and Southern Adirondacks, and take the time to hike or picnic. Join an interpretive talk at the top of the skyride (11am and 1pm) or take part in a free hiking challenge while you’re here. Excellent photo opportunities- have fun!
July 22-25: Scenic skyrides are scheduled for the Northwoods Gondola on Thursday and Sunday, and aboard the Adirondack Express Chairlift on Friday and Saturday.
Adult passengers carrying children in their arms, backpacks, or other carrying devices, may ride in gondola cabins but not on chairlifts. See our complete scenic skyride policy.
The last ride up is at 4pm. As a guideline, skyrides are on our open-air chairlift Friday and Saturday and on our enclosed gondola Thursday and Sunday. This schedule is subject to change based on weather and other variables, please check our activities report for the most current information.
21/22 season passes include free scenic skyrides during summer/fall 2021 – show your pass at the lift (Monday-Friday Limited passholders must redeem for Saturday/Sunday skyrides at the ticket windows). Check out year-round perks for passholders!

Skyride tickets that are purchased online are scanned at the lifts- have your barcode ready and head directly to the skyride loading area. Tickets can also be purchased day-of at our ticket windows. Children ages 6 & under must have a ticket or barcode to ride the scenic skyride.

Enjoy unlimited scenic skyrides and lift-serviced hiking/downhill mountain biking during scheduled operating hours in the summer and fall! This pass is non-transferable, for ages 7+, and is valid through October 10, 2021.Buy Skyride & Bike Pass
Free interpretive talks are offered at the top of the skyride at 11am and 1pm each day we’re open – discuss local vegetation, the history of Gore Mountain, and facts about the surrounding views. These talks are free for all ticketed guests and season passholders.
Check out our independent interpretive hikes– the Hardwood Forest Loop is located in the Base Area and the Alpine Sky Loop is at the top of Bear Mountain near where the gondola skyride unloads.
Enjoy a relaxing stroll through our Mountaintop Labyrinth, located below the Fairview Observation Deck on the Alpine Sky Loop interpretive trail. Labyrinths are ancient patterns over 4,000 years old, and walking them has been known to help quiet the mind and offer relaxation, balance, and well-being.
