Gore Mountain Uphill Program

Earn your turns by skinning up Little Gore! Uphill travel will be permitted at the Ski Bowl Wednesday – Sunday, 8:30am-3:30pm*. Please review our uphill routes and Uphill Program Guidelines before you go!

Ticketing:
A valid ticket for the day or season pass is required to skin up the mountain. You will need one of the following:

  • A purchased Uphill Program Day Ticket from the Ski Bowl ticket window for $15
  • An Uphill Program Season Pass for $100
  • A day-use alpine lift ticket for the mountain for the date you are skinning up
  • An alpine Season Pass for the 24/25 season

Be Advised: To access any lift, you will need a valid Alpine lift ticket or 24/25 Season Pass. The Uphill Program Day Ticket and Uphill Program Season Pass does NOT include lift access.

Guests participating in the activities of downhill skiing/snowboarding are obligated to familiarize themselves with and adhere to the rules and regulations set forth in the New York State Safety in Skiing Code (Article 18 of the General Obligations Law; Article 26 of the Labor Law, and Part 54 of the NYS Industrial Code at 12 NYCRR), which can be located on signage at the base of the mountain. Guests shall comply with the daily uphill skiing instructions, as well as all other rules and regulations that are applicable to their activities while on the premises.

Uphill Guidelines

  1. Uphill travel is available Wednesday through Sunday, when the Ski Bowl is open.
  2. You must check in at The Joe Minder Lodge.
  3. Please use the designated routes only. It is your responsibility to know where the designated uphill travel trails are.
  4. Note that skiers uphill left, single file, will be the only travel route.
  5. Guests must wear brightly colored reflective clothing.
  6. Dress appropriately for changing weather conditions.
  7. Be aware that snowmaking may be in progress at any time.
  8. Be aware that snowmobiles & other machinery are routinely used on the mountain and maybe driving the same route.
  9. Unmarked hazards may exist, especially during the early and late season.
  10. Be aware of variable snow conditions.
  11. Please stay away from snowmaking equipment, snowmobiles, grooming machines, etc.
  12. Please stop to rest in an area where you are visible to skiers and riders above you and avoid obstructing the trail. Do not stop at trail intersections.
  13. Before ascending, travelers must check the Snow Report and the info board at the base of the Ski Bowl. Trails could be closed at any time.
  14. Snowshoeing is NOT allowed for uphill travel.
  15. There may be times when the Uphill travel route will be closed to all travelers. Check our daily online Snow Report for information on conditions and opening status.

Travel Routes

We now offer two uphill routes starting from the Nordic Center and ending at the top of the Hudson Chair. Please remember to stay to the left side of the trail when traveling uphill. See our Snow Report for operational status of routes.

Route A – Moxham

  • Oak Ridge, uphill left to the top of the Hudson Chair

Route B – Peaceful Valley to Moxham
