Seasonal Positions

Ticket Sellers

Sell lift tickets, season passes, frequent skier products, and lessons, answer phones. Must have excellent customer service skills.  Requires knowledge of computers and Gore Mountain.

Lift Operators & Lift Attendants

Provide guests with safe, efficient, and courteous loading and unloading of lifts.  Attendants are responsible for maintaining ramps as well as scanning season passes and lift tickets.

Terrain Park Attendants

Maintaining terrain park features as well as working with mountain operations.

Ski & Snowboard Instructors

Teach both children and adults to ski or snowboard.
Plan to attend our Instructor Training Course (2 days – Nov 27-28)!

Adaptive Ski & Snowboard Instructors

Teach both children and adults with disabilities to ski or snowboard.
Plan to attend our Instructor Training Course (2 days – Nov 27-28)!

Retail Sales Clerks

Assist guests with selecting and purchasing soft goods, gifts, and souvenirs.

Mountain Ambassadors

Offer guests information and assistance, such as the location of ticket sales desks and rental shop, trail locations, lesson times, etc., to help them have a great experience on the mountain. See the Volunteer Opportunities tab for more information.

Groomers

Groom trails and operate snowcats, primarily at night.  Heavy equipment experience preferred.

Snowmakers

Check snowmaking equipment (valves, water lines, etc.) and reposition snow guns on the mountain.

Pump House Operator

Monitor water pumps, air compressors, and snow production equipment.  We provide the computer tracking system and you provide excellent communication to other snowmaking staff by radio and phone.  Other administrative tasks include data entry and checklists.  No previous snowmaking production experience is necessary.  This position is part of the snowmaking team.

Parking Lot Attendants

Looking for people that enjoy being outside and possess a helpful personality!  This position involves the safe and smooth flow of traffic up and down the road, directing traffic, and safely positioning vehicles to park.

Shuttle Bus Operators

Transport guests from parking lots to Lodges or North Creek Ski Bowl.  Must have a valid driver’s license with a minimum of CDL Class B.

Building Maintenance Workers

Perform various light maintenance, labor, and construction tasks including shoveling snow and clearing walkways around base lodges.  General maintenance background is a plus.

Janitors

Clean lodges and facilities, remove trash and recyclables, and restock materials as needed.

Food Service Staff

Cooks, Cashiers, Servers, Bussers, Dishwashers

Pub & Restaurant Staff

Chef, Cooks, Bussers, Dishwashers

Rental Shop

Ski & Snowboard Rental Technicians, Boot Fitters

Gore Mountain Retail Store Sales Associate

Gore Mountain, an ORDA managed ski resort, is seeking a customer service orientated individual to work in its retail store located in the base lodge. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: greeting customers and ascertaining what each customer wants or needs, opening and closing cash registers, assisting with locker rental needs, performing tasks such as counting money; separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers; balancing cash drawers; making deposits; stocking the sales floor; as well as straightening and cleaning the store.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to follow instructions and make decisions within basic policy and procedures. Candidates should be self-motivated, able to perform basic arithmetic functions, willing to greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, practice good customer service, and be able to lift 20-30 lbs. Applicants should have strong communication skills and approachability. Previous retail experience is preferable, but not necessary. Knowledge of Gore Mountain is a plus.

Volunteer Opportunities

Get to know the four peaks of Gore Mountain with our mountain ambassadors who are the living embodiment of Gore’s brand and lifestyle! In addition to free orientation tours, they offer information on terrain, facilities, lessons, and rentals. The goal of the ambassador team is to provide enhanced guest experiences with an increased focus on safety both on and off the mountain.

While a certain level of skiing/riding skill is encouraged, it is not required to be a great ambassador. The best ambassadors are those who love the sport of skiing/riding, enjoy sharing it with others, and want to help our guests have a safe, memorable, and enjoyable experience at Gore Mountain.

We are looking for snow sports enthusiasts who want to interact with guests both on and off the hill promoting safety and providing enhanced guest experiences. In exchange for 20 volunteer days, ambassadors receive awesome mountain perks like a season pass for the 2021/22 season and free tickets to share with friends and family.
