SALES COORDINATOR

FULL-TIME | YEAR-ROUND

Gore Mountain, an ORDA-managed facility, is seeking an organized and enthusiastic professional with a love for the outdoors to lead its year-round sales initiatives. This individual will be responsible for Gore Mountain’s sales efforts as the resort grows its winter business, while also expanding summer and fall activities.

The Sales Coordinator will implement ongoing sales outreach, strategy review, revenue analysis, sales-driven communication schedules, and event planning to support Gore Mountain’s sales channels. This includes development and adherence to a marketing plan and sales budget, sales reporting and tracking to monitor product performance, and fulfillment of appropriate messaging to support a variety of sales campaigns.  S/he will be expected to seek out new and maintain existing customer relationships, as well as cultivate new revenue opportunities for Gore Mountain. This includes developing wedding and catering business, group visits, hotel programs, summer and fall activities, and ancillary revenue streams.

In addition, the successful candidate will provide general support for the ongoing needs of the Marketing Department. This may include, but not necessarily be limited to attending group and consumer travel shows; providing event support; assisting with snow reporting, and providing outstanding customer service to the guests of Gore Mountain.

QUALIFICATIONS – A bachelor’s degree in business, or associate’s degree in business with 4+ years of relevant experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in analytics, and a valid NYS driver’s license.  Weekend and holiday work required.

COMPENSATION – Salary negotiable depending on qualifications, skills, and experience; ORDA offers an excellent benefits package including paid leave (vacation, holiday, sick and personal time); participation in the NYS and Local Retirement Systems; health, dental, and vision insurances; and optional participation in the NYS Deferred Compensation Plan.

Volunteer Opportunities

Get to know the four peaks of Gore Mountain with our mountain ambassadors who are the living embodiment of Gore’s brand and lifestyle! In addition to free orientation tours, they offer information on terrain, facilities, lessons, and rentals. The goal of the ambassador team is to provide enhanced guest experiences with an increased focus on safety both on and off the mountain.

While a certain level of skiing/riding skill is encouraged, it is not required to be a great ambassador. The best ambassadors are those who love the sport of skiing/riding, enjoy sharing it with others, and want to help our guests have a safe, memorable, and enjoyable experience at Gore Mountain.

Get Involved!

We are looking for snow sports enthusiasts who want to interact with guests both on and off the hill promoting safety and providing enhanced guest experiences. In exchange for 18 volunteer days, ambassadors receive awesome mountain perks like a season pass for the 2022/23 season and free tickets to share with friends and family.
