DESIGN & COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST
Gore Mountain is seeking a Design and Communications Specialist to join the Marketing Team. We’re seeking an individual to assist with designing digital and print media while collecting footage, and editing content for the Gore Mountain portfolio.
Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will support the management of Gore’s website and have strong photo and video skills. Outstanding writing skills and strong experience with social media platforms are necessary. This position will assist the Marketing Team with other tasks such as special events, snow reporting, and sales efforts including travel to ski shows, analysis, and presentations. Intermediate or better ski/snowboarding ability and a valid driver’s license are required.
Additionally, this person will support marketing initiatives across other sales channels/tactics, including advertisements, publications, signage, etc. Other related tasks may be assigned.
COMPENSATION: Management / Confidential position. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience. Outstanding benefits package including paid leave, health, dental, vision, and participation in the New York State Retirement System. Optional participation in NYS Deferred Compensation.

Gore Mountain is seeking a Labor Supervisor to assist the Box Office Supervisor and head our Guest Services Office. This position reports to the Box Office Supervisor. The Labor Supervisor will be responsible for excellent guest service, responding to inquiries via phone and email, and for the training and supervision of Guest Services Representatives. The right candidate will present themselves in a professional manner while working with both the staff and the guests. They will present solutions to problems and think critically about the daily tasks at hand. They will perform tasks alongside the Box Office Supervisor as well as in the event of their absence. Tasks including but not limited to: Accounts Receivables, Commission reporting, Daily Cash outs, Deposits, communicating with the finance office, maintenance of Season Pass files and guest profiles in Siriusware, chargebacks, bounced checks, knowledge of all Siriusware applications including Report Manager, System Manager, Sales, and the Reservation Header.
Weekends and Holidays are required when the Mountain is open.
QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate must have strong computer and organizational skills; With the ability to manage multiple projects at once. Will demonstrate a professional appearance and manner as well as strong verbal and written communication skills. Customer service experience is required. Flexibility and a positive attitude are crucial. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to stay calm and diffuse guest issues in a rational proactive manner a must. Two years’ experience as a Senior Ticket Clerk or practical experience in a similar position preferred for Siriusware applications, but not required, will train the right candidate. Knowledge of Microsoft Office: including Excel and Outlook; Siriusware a plus.
COMPENSATION: Grade 16, entry rate $22.56 per hour. Excellent benefit package including paid leave (sick, vacation, and personal time); paid holidays; health, dental, and vision insurance, participation in the New York State and Local Retirement Systems; and optional in NYS Deferred Compensation.

Get to know the four peaks of Gore Mountain with our mountain ambassadors who are the living embodiment of Gore’s brand and lifestyle! In addition to free orientation tours, they offer information on terrain, facilities, lessons, and rentals. The goal of the ambassador team is to provide enhanced guest experiences with an increased focus on safety both on and off the mountain.
While a certain level of skiing/riding skill is encouraged, it is not required to be a great ambassador. The best ambassadors are those who love the sport of skiing/riding, enjoy sharing it with others, and want to help our guests have a safe, memorable, and enjoyable experience at Gore Mountain.
We are looking for snow sports enthusiasts who want to interact with guests both on and off the hill promoting safety and providing enhanced guest experiences. In exchange for 20 volunteer days, ambassadors receive awesome mountain perks like a season pass for the 2021/22 season and free tickets to share with friends and family.
