Our scenic skyrides are a great way to spend a half-hour at Gore or the entire day. Enjoy stunning views of the High Peaks and Southern Adirondacks, and take the time to hike or picnic. Aboard 8-passenger gondola cabins* you can easily fit mountain bikes, strollers, wheelchairs, and walkers – this skyride is also suitable for small children or those timid of heights.
Take along a scavenger hunt game card or participate in any of our fun hiking challenges. Excellent photo opportunities- have fun! Please note there is no food service at the top of either skyride, and restrooms are located in the Saddle Lodge near the top of the chairlift (.4 mile hike from the top of the gondola).
The last ride up is at 3:45pm. This schedule is subject to change based on weather and other variables. Tickets for Skyrides will not be sold after 3:30pm.
Please note: If you bought your skyride ticket online, do not take your QR code to the lift. Online tickets must be exchanged for SKI3 skyride cards printed at the ticket windows or in Guest Services.
*Please note that the Northwoods Gondola may be substituted with the Adirondack Express open-air chairlift on days when the summer heat index makes it unsafe to ride in enclosed gondola cabins. Chairlift riders must be able to approach the loading area unassisted and sit upright in their own seat. Please check our Activities Report for up-to-date information. 2024/25 season passes include free scenic skyrides during summer/fall 2024 – show your pass at the lift. Check out year-round perks for passholders!

Skyride tickets can be purchased online in advance or on the same day at our ticket windows. Children ages 6 & under must have a ticket to ride the scenic skyride. All skyride tickets are valid for one scenic skyride (round-trip or uphill/hike down to base).
*For active military and their dependents, US Military Veterans, and members of the US Reserves & National Guard. Eligibility will be verified by ID.Me. ID.me instantly verifies your military status online and you will not have to upload any documents. Once verified, you can purchase tickets instantly for online purchases, or in-person with either a CAC Card, DOD Form 1173, or DD Form 214.
2024 Skyride & Bike Season Pass: Enjoy unlimited scenic skyrides and lift-serviced hiking/downhill mountain biking during scheduled operating hours in the summer and fall! This pass is non-transferable and is valid from July 6, 2024, through October 13, 2024.
