We are open for skiing and riding during the Games!

Wondering what to expect during the World University Games at Gore Mountain? We are so excited to be one of several winter sports venues in NY selected to host the World University Games and we look forward to 12 fun-filled days of world-class competition, sundeck parties, recreational skiing & snowboarding, and all-around fun. There will be some changes that you need to be aware of if your arrival at Gore falls between January 9 and 24.

Your valid season pass or lift ticket gives you access to all skiing competitions, so watch the Games, and you may be on ESPN. Spectator tickets are available for $15 here. that offer access to our reserved spectator areas near the finish lines of each course.

Gore Mountain Parking Map

You will notice a revised traffic pattern and parking plan. Please follow all signage and directions from our parking staff to find general parking and the drop-off location. If you see a sign that says “Now Parking Lot E, F, or G,” this indicates this is the closest open lot. To save time, pull in and park, then take a complimentary shuttle to the Base Area entrance. Save even more time by booting up at your car.

There will be a Security Checkpoint at the entrance to our Base Area during the Games. Everyone who enters must pass through the gates, and should be good to go without delay unless they have brought a prohibited item. Note that hard coolers and outside alcohol are not permitted (soft coolers are allowed). See our list of Prohibited Items here.

Lodges may be a little more crowded than usual, with several areas in the Base Lodge utilized exclusively for the Games. Not to worry, you will always be able to get your favorite beverage, a crowd-pleasing waffle, or Chef Mary’s special of the day. The Open Pit Grille will be serving up BBQ favorites and we’ll have an outdoor bar on the sundeck, with plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors, work on that winter tan and view the competition. Not to mention the addition of food trucks on select days and the never-ending sundeck party. Better yet, ski down to the spectator areas on the courses and near the finish lines to view some of the finest colligate athletes in the world. Your season ski pass or lift ticket gives you access to all ski/snowboard competitions at Gore or Whiteface, or non-skiers can purchase spectator tickets for access to the closest viewing areas to the courses and finish lines. Come watch the Games and you might even see yourself on ESPN!
