HOLIDAY LIKE AN EXPERT

Are you ready for a fantastic holiday adventure on the slopes? We’ve got some friendly and informative tips to help you make the most of your visit. Let’s dive in!

1. Get Here Early:
Early birds get the worm, and in this case, better parking and corduroy! Our lifts start spinning at 8:30 am, so arrive early to secure a more convenient parking spot and enjoy the slopes while others sleep in.

2. Park Consciously: During the holidays, we see a surge in visitors, so consider carpooling with friends to ease the parking situation. Follow the directions given by our parking lot attendants, and please avoid parking in tow-away zones, fire lanes or blocking other vehicles – it will lead to a tow (at your expense) and/or a fine. Paid parking is available but operates on a first-come, first-serve basis and fills up quick during holiday periods.

3. Take the Shuttle: Our friendly shuttle drivers are here to help you get up to the mountain faster. Shuttles will regularly make stops at designated locations in all of our parking lots and the base area – plus they will visit the ski bowl on the hour.

Please Note: It’s best to avoid parking along the access road. If our parking lots are full, use the Ski Bowl parking and shuttle service or start your day from there. If you park along the access road, it’s at your own risk and you might have to hike up. Shuttles will only pick up guests in the parking lots and not on the access road.

4. Buy in Advance: Holiday tickets tend to sell out quickly, and the same goes for rental equipment and lessons. Save yourself some time and money by purchasing these in advance. It not only secures your spot but also ensures a smoother start to your day. If tickets are sold out online, they won’t be sold in-person!

UPDATE TO 6 & UNDER TICKETS: Please visit any ticket window to purchase the Child 6 & Under discounted lift ticket. The 6 & under child must be present to purchase. Don’t worry! Our 6 & Under tickets have no capacity limit and will be available even if all other tickets sell out for the day.

Pick Up Box

5. Take a screenshot or print your E-Ticket barcode. You can quickly and easily redeem your RFID cards at our Kiosk Pick-Up boxes around the Base Area.

Ticket Pick-Up Box Locations:

  •  Rental Shop on the lower level of the Northwoods Lodge
  • Outdoor Kiosk Cabin near the flagpoles of the Northwoods Lodge
  • Next to the Box Office Ticket Windows in the Base Lodge
  • If you’re headed straight for the Ski Bowl, you’ll find one pickup box inside the Joe Minder Lodge.

6. Dine During Non-Peak Hours: Feeling hungry after hitting the slopes? The TanneryFood CourtSaddle Lodge, Open Pit Grille, and Waffle Cabin are all fantastic dining options. Avoid the lunchtime rush (12-1 pm) by grabbing a bite during non-peak hours. Our Food Court also offers convenient grab-and-go options like sandwiches and salads for those on the move.

7. Get Ready at Your Vehicle: Simplify your pre-ski routine by getting mostly ready at home or your lodging. Then, add the finishing touches at your car. Please be mindful of other cars in the parking lot, do not block other parking spaces or roadways.

8. Establish a Meeting Point: Before hitting the slopes, choose a designated meeting point with your children. Make sure it’s a spot that’s easy to find and remember, such as a particular chairlift or a recognizable landmark. This way, if you get separated, you can regroup quickly.

9. Ask our Staff: We are known for having very friendly & helpful staff! Ask, and we’ll be happy to assist you!

10. Be Safe: Please familiarize yourself with all of our safety policies and ensure you are well versed in the Skier Responsibility Code and the New York State Ski Code.

11. Be Kind: Holidays are very busy, please be kind to your fellow guests and to our employees. We are here to ensure you have the best time possible and will do everything in our power to make that happen. When things are busy, it can be frustrating or stressful but, know that we are working hard to get you on the slopes as quickly as possible. It may be the first time some of our other guests are at this mountain – so be patient with them – it doesn’t hurt to offer them some help or advice either. We want to make everyone, both our frequent guests and newcomers, feel welcome!

We hope these tips help you have an amazing holiday experience on the slopes!
