Overview

Our Instructor & Patrol in Training program allows participants to learn about the knowledge and skills required to become ski and snowboard instructors while improving their personal skiing/riding skills. They’ll discover the technical components of skiing/riding, what to teach, how to teach children, and how to promote safety while having fun in lessons and programs. They’ll also learn about Patrol by offering insight into the daily responsibilities of Ski Patrol, including the opening of trails and sweeping at day’s end, recognizing potential safety hazards, and the use of appropriate markings to warn skiers/riders. They may observe other Patrollers running a rescue sled and caring for injured guests.

In addition, they will learn guest services skills and professionalism for working in the ski industry. This program helps prepare teens to work as either a ski/snowboard Instructor or as a Patroller here at Gore once they are of eligible age (16 and up). Program includes a SKI3 Season Pass for participants.
